Abergeldie is a working sheep, cattle and cropping property, on 500 hectares in the fertile Central Highlands region of Victoria. The Toose family has enjoyed the ambience of Abergeldie for five generations, and during your stay we would like you to share Abergeldie's warmth and character with us. The property has Angus cattle, cross-bred sheep, fat lambs and cropping including wheat, oats and small grass seeds.

You can use Abergeldie as a base to explore the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs Spa region, and the natural beauty and historic attractions of the towns of Creswick, Ballarat, Maldon and Castlemaine. Other local attractions include wineries, rose nurseries, restaurants, cafes, antique shops and galleries.

Directions to Abergeldie from Melbourne (via the Western Freeway) From Melbourne take the Western Freeway towards Ballarat Turn off the Western Freeway at the Wallace/Creswick/Bungaree exit (after the Daylesford exit), and then immediately turn right to take the bridge over the freeway. At the cross roads intersection (approx. 2km), turn left. Continue until you reach a T-intersection (approx. 10km), then turn right. After 1km you will reach a STOP sign, turn right. Drive on for approximately 15km until you reach the roundabout at Newlyn - Turn left. Turn right at the Kingston/Newstead turnoff (approx. 4km). Drive for approximately 6km to a Give-Way sign - Turn right towards Smeaton. After 4km you will reach the town of Smeaton. Continue for 500m past the Hotel and you will see 'Abergeldie Country House and Cottages' on your left. The driveway entrance is just after the 100km/hr road sign.
